1. Can you explain what Holistic Podiatry is and How this different from what other Podiatrist offer?
Within my Medical practice is a large array of tools that encompass traditional as well as non-traditional healing modalities specifically designed to help you not only heal your foot pain but to begin to bring back balance into your whole system. This approach can and will help you to have a stronger foundation from which you can move forward in your life. This whole body approach to working with your feet can create a happier and healthier way of being.
I look at common foot ailments and apply nutritional solutions in the form of diet and supplements when needed, mind/body technology, energy medicine tools, metaphors as teachings for greater wisdom and whatever is needed to get you to the ROOT of your problem. Once we locate the cause we can change what is there in order to create a new effect. This approach is very empowering for you knowing there is ALWAYS an answer and a solution to your problem.
2. Why is a whole body approach to my feet important?
As the song goes, “the foot bones connected to the ankle bone, the ankle bones connected to the shine bone”…etc. Medicine that separates the body into parts is missing the Big Picture and is an old paradigm. When we look at signs and symptoms rather than labeling or tagging conditions we can treat the whole of the issue. A body that has a chronically inflamed joint or tendon most probably has other inflammation going on as well and all needs to be looked at so the stressors can be removed and the body can heal itself quite naturally.
3. Do you accept my Health Insurance Plan?
I am what is called and “out of network practitioner”. Because of our practice model we do not participate in health insurance plans. Many of our patients use their out of network benefits and of course, we offer a discounted fee schedule for all patients that self pay. This ultimately allows me to be of greater service to you and your needs. We will discuss your individual situation before your first office visit and will do everything possible to be of service.
4. How many appointments will I need?
Since each individual issue has is own unique components it can be difficult to determine how many treatments are needed at the time. This is always discussed on the first visit with each patient. I will say here, that when the physical, mental and emotional components of the dis-ease are addressed the time needed to resolve and clear the condition is significantly reduced from the start.
5. How long is a visit?
The initial visit is 1 hr and subsequent visits are 30min or 1 hr depending on what is to be done that day.
6. What is the energy work that you offer and how will I know if I need these sessions?
Energy healing can be quite a powerful addition when it comes to the healing of your body, mind and spirit. You are energy and light from the highest perspective. When a particular frequency of energy is used, the finer or more subtle essence of the imbalance is addressed which can most definitely speed the healing of the physical body as well as uncover the core of the problem. I have been trained in several energy healing techniques throughout my years as a Podiatry physician and have had the blessed opportunity to witness some incredible miracles in the lives of my patients.
